St Margaret’s Centre is an activity and training hub for adults in County Durham who need support with their mental wellbeing.
The main aim of the centre is to improve the health and wellbeing of the community of County Durham by providing a safe, therapeutic environment for people to regain their confidence, motivation and self-esteem while learning new skills and meeting new friends.

Through our work we enable individuals to gain confidence, increase self esteem, develop skills to help manage their problems, and give people the building blocks to move forward.
St Margaret’s Centre runs an increasingly wide variety of activities and training, and we rely on the support of our local community to help us keep the centre a vibrant and welcoming space for people with mental health problems. There are many different ways you may support us.

Our craft shop, community cafe, and furniture making and restoration services provide training and work experience to the people who attend St Margaret’s Centre.
